The short version
Kexo Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales. This website introduces Kexo, a comparison service for travel, shopping and everyday services that has not opened yet.
The only personal information this website asks for is an email address, and only if you choose to join the early access list. Separately, Kexo Ltd runs a private application for its own staff at app.kexo.io, which this page also covers.
Who is responsible
Kexo Ltd, company number 17048958, registered office 50 Gleadless Drive, Sheffield, England, S12 2QN, is the controller of the information described here. You can reach us at support@kexo.io.
The early access list
If you enter your email address on the home page, we store that address and the date and time you gave it. We use it for one purpose: to send you one email telling you that Kexo has opened.
We rely on your consent to do that. We do not sell the list, we do not share it with anyone else, and we do not use it for advertising.
We keep your address until we have sent that email, or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first. To be removed at any time, email support@kexo.io from the address you signed up with.
This website
kexo.io has no accounts, no advertising and no analytics or tracking cookies. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps ordinary server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the time of the request, for security and reliability. Those are kept only as long as they are useful for that purpose. The early access list is also stored with Cloudflare, on our behalf.
The typefaces on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google to fetch them and Google receives your IP address when it does. Google Fonts does not set cookies.
Affiliate links
There are no affiliate links on this website today. When Kexo opens, some links to airlines, travel companies, car hire companies and retailers will be affiliate links, and the provider or its affiliate network may use cookies to record that you arrived from Kexo. This policy and our cookie policy will be updated before that happens. Our affiliate disclosure explains how that works.
The Kexo application
app.kexo.io is private and used only by our own staff. The information it holds is our own business data from our own store and our own advertising account. It holds no data belonging to any other company, because no other company uses it.
Staff accounts are created by us. There is no self service registration and no public access.
Signing in with Google
Staff may sign in to app.kexo.io with a Google account. When they do, we receive only the name and email address on that account, and we use it for one purpose: to know which member of staff is signed in.
Kexo's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell that information, we do not use it for advertising, we do not share it with anyone else, and we do not use it to develop, improve or train generalised artificial intelligence or machine learning models.
We also use the Google Ads API to manage our own advertising account. That involves our own campaign, spend and conversion data, not personal data about members of the public.
If you bought something from us
Our retail orders are placed on a separate storefront, which has its own privacy notice covering that purchase. This page covers kexo.io only.
Your rights, and how to use them
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted, and you can withdraw your consent to the early access email at any time. Email support@kexo.io and a person will answer. If you are in the UK or the EU and you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your data protection regulator. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office.
